'Lakes 8, 11 and 12 have been learning about the Hindu festival of Diwali. They created their own Rangoli patterns using lots of glitter!
This week lakes 13 went to cafe. They practised using money and making choices in the community. They ate some wonderful food and had a great time!
Mountains 9 students prepared and cooked a meal of Lasagne and salad as part of their ASDAN work and Lifeskills development. They invited Sam along as their VIP guest and everyone ate lunch together, the meal was a great success and even Trevor was full up at the end of it!
Our Immersive Room is all set up to resemble what life was like in the trenches in WW1.

Lakes 6 have been enjoying putting their waterproofs on to explore the outside areas in the wind and rain.
The modular classrooms are in situ. Work is now beginning on internal fittings and the connecting corridor.
Lakes 5 have been learning about Bonfire Night. They made firework biscuits, made firework sounds and movements with instruments and ribbons, used the IWB to create a firework picture, explored sparkling firework gloop and made stars in our firework play dough.

Lakes 5 took a trip to Curwen Castle to go on a Room on the Broom character hunt linked to our story in Literacy!
