Some of our 6th Form students have taken part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award Inclusive Award which is specifically aimed at young people with disabilities and additional needs.  Students completed a 2 day walking trip along the coast at Maryport supported by school staff and Cumbria Youth Alliance who provided an instructor and assessor.

However, not everyone was successful in their route planning!!! Sam, our headteacher, arranged to meet the pupils and walk part of the way with them got lost and after 14,000 steps later was finally reunited with the group!!

Next term some of the students will move on to their silver award, while others will continue with their bronze.

Well done to everyone involved.
