Mayfield School has a toothbrushing scheme in place called Smile 4 Life.
It is well recognised that oral health has a important role in the general health and well being of individuals and it is a concern that significant inequalities in oral health exist across England.
At Mayfield we work alongside NHS Specialist Hygienist who, liaise with school and parents to give advice, answer questions and show us how to promote and demonstrate good oral hygiene within school and at home.
At the moment due to current Government Guidelines we are unable to brush teeth within the school setting. We continue to promote healthy habits and are available to give advice or pass you onto Lesley Bonner the NHS Specialist Hygienist who works closely with school.
