Vocational Education - Enterprise|
Students and staff began an Enterprise project for the pupils of Mayfield School to get involved in to raise money for every pupil in the Planets Department to go a a Summer adventure day out. We held coffee afternoons for parents, a fayre at St Nicholas Centre selling arts and crafts, cakes and wooden planters )made by the pupils) and wrote to local business to help us.
The students and staff in worked incredibly hard to make the Enterprise Project a huge sucess and pupils decided they wanted the day to be:
"full of memories"
"with my friends"
"to try new things"
The pupils played a large part in the organising the fundraising including writing letters, making posters to advertise events, made many caks, wooden planters in joinery, potting plants, vintage crafts and decorated Easter Eggs.
Thanks to everyones generosity, time and hard work we managed to raise over £3,000.
The money went towards pupils attending Horseriding at the Calvert Trust and Hawes End Outdoor Persuits for rafting, canoeing and ghyll scrambling.
